Cuckoo Flower 1, Dark Grey Monoprint

This Monoprint showcases the delicate structure of the beautiful Cuckoo flower, carefully crafted with a dark grey hue and subtle hints of blue. Its minimalist design adds a touch of modernity that complements any interior space. Hand printed onto Fabriano Rosaspina, the heavier paper type I use.

• A4 original piece, handprinted.
• Fabriano Rosaspina, 285 gsm. 60% cotton. 6x9 inch plate size

• Dark Grey with blue undertone ink, soy based. 

The Cuckoo flower is a beautiful delicate pink petaled wildflower. A definite indicator that spring has sprung, you’ll find it growing usually on riverbeds and damp meadows. 

This monoprinting technique uses plants pressed for weeks to create unique pieces. The plant is inked and pressed onto paper with an etching press for detailed results. 

This process allows me to slow down, by going on regular foraging walks I can connect with my surroundings. I hope this piece allows you to feel closer to nature and appreciate the smaller details within the world of botany.
